"Strong Voice, Effective Leadership"

Announcer: For a strong, rural voice and effective leadership in St. Paul, re-elect Joe Schomacker.

Schomacker: I’m Joe Schomacker. I was born and raised right here in Southwest Minnesota. And I'm a small business owner who competes with South Dakota for business and employees. That's a perspective we need to keep in St. Paul.

Announcer: Schomacker chairs the Aging and Long Term Care Committee, and passed nuring home reforms that promote quality and give caregivers a much needed raise.

"Jobs"

Announcer: Southwest Minnesota Voters: this is Steve Hemmingsen asking you to re-elect Representative Joe Schomacker to grow jobs.

Schomacker: I’m Joe Schomacker, and in my first two years in office, unemployment dropped by more than two points. When Minnesotan’s got back to work, they got off of public assistance and started paying taxes. I work with both sides to support programs that help Southwest Minnesota businesses create jobs - earning me the endorsements of both business and union groups.

"Prioritizing Spending"

Announcer: Southwest Minnesota voters: this is Steve Hemmingsen asking you to re-elect Representative Joe Schomacker.

Schomacker: I’m Joe Schomacker, my greatest accomplishments in my first term were getting a rate increase for many of our rural nursing homes, and getting more funding for our small rural schools, while balancing a $5.8 billion dollar budget deficit.

It shows what can happen when we truly prioritize our spending. My priorities of better nursing home rates and closing the funding gap with metro schools is unwaivering.
